Your Data Sources

Your Data Sources is the home for linked accounts and external systems that can be used inside Alfrada OS workflows. You'll find it at Settings → Tools & Data → Data Sources.

What It Does

• shows available providers by category
• lets you connect and remove linked accounts
• supports multiple accounts where a provider allows it — OAuth providers take up to 3 linked accounts each (say, a work and a personal Gmail)
• exposes connection state such as connected, awaiting authorization, or not connected
• makes connected capabilities available inside conversations once the relevant tool is enabled

Why It Matters

Without connected data sources, Alfrada OS works with chat, uploads, memory, history, and public tools.

With connected data sources, it can work inside the systems your team already uses. In practice, that means Alfrada OS can move from discussing work to operating on the underlying tools and accounts that hold the work itself.

This is where the product becomes materially more useful.

Everything You Can Connect

Once linked, Alfrada OS can work across:

• Google: My Gmail, My Google Calendar, My GDrive, My GDocs, My GSheets, and My GSlides
• Microsoft: My Outlook and My Microsoft Teams
• Communication: My Slack, My Discord, and My Zoom
• Social: My LinkedIn, My Facebook, and My Twitter/X
• Development: My GitHub
• Design: My Canva
• Analytics: My GA4
• Ready out of the box: Hunter and the Cats API

A few of these are easy to miss:

• My Twitter/X (27 tools) — post, search, engage, and analyse on Twitter/X.
• My GA4 (36 tools) — query Google Analytics reports, realtime traffic, audiences, and admin settings.
• My Discord (10 tools) — read your profile, list your servers, and resolve invites. Plainly: it cannot send or read channel messages — that is a limit of the underlying Discord toolkit, not a setting you can change.
• Hunter (8 tools) — find and verify professional email addresses and discover prospects. Works out of the box — no account linking required.
• Cats API (18 tools) — cat images, breeds, and facts. Also pre-connected, no linking needed.

That changes the role of the agent. Instead of only generating advice, it can search, draft, create, organize, update, or coordinate work inside connected systems when the tool is available and the account is linked.

Examples of what that can look like:

• search Drive for a file, pull it into the workflow, and generate a new output from it
• draft or reply to email with Gmail when connected
• create or update a Google Doc, Sheet, or Slides deck from session work
• import a PDF or PPTX into Canva, export a finished design as PDF or MP4, or browse connected Canva folders
• use calendar context to shape planning, scheduling, and follow-up

The page is also operationally useful because it gives you one place to see what is actually connected, how many accounts are attached, and whether any provider needs re-authentication.

Why It's Called "John's Gmail"

Providers are canonically named My {Platform} — My Gmail, My GDrive, My Twitter/X. In the app they render personalized as {FirstName}'s {Platform}: cards, approval prompts, and summaries all say "John's Gmail" rather than "My Gmail". The canonical My {Platform} name is what appears in logs and in the agent's reasoning, so behavior stays consistent across users. This mirrors the naming convention used throughout the Tool Library.

When A Service Doesn't Have OAuth

Not everything offers a "Sign in with…" button. For services that log in with a username and password, an API key, or a cookie, Alfrada OS opens a secure inline credential capture form right in the chat. What you enter is stored in the Vault (Settings → Account → Vault) and offered back as a one-click chip the next time a workflow needs it — you never re-type the same login. Good Uses

• bring calendar or email context into planning workflows
• connect storage so work can reference documents directly
• create outputs in Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides from work already done in chat
• support collaboration and automation across external tools
• connect the systems where the work actually needs to land, not just where it starts

Good Hygiene

• connect only the systems you actually use
• give accounts readable names
• disconnect stale accounts
• review provider availability before building a workflow that depends on it
• remember that a connected capability still depends on the relevant tool being enabled — that control is the Tool Selector at Settings → Tools & Data → Tools: the "Always-On Tools" list loads in every conversation, and the agent can request extras mid-chat. See what makes a tool available.
