Seedream 5.0 Pro Brings Precise Commercial Image Editing To Image Lab

Image Lab can now route new renders and reference-image edits through ByteDance Seedream 5.0 Pro on OpenRouter. Pick it for lifelike commercial scenes, controlled product changes, and multi-reference compositions where the details you asked to preserve matter as much as the details you asked to change.

What you can do

• Pin Seedream per call. Ask for Seedream or set provider: "seedream" to use bytedance-seed/seedream-5-0-pro. The existing Gemini default and xAI option are unchanged.
• Create at 1K or 2K. Seedream supports the full Image Lab aspect-ratio set at 1K and 2K. If you request 4K, Image Lab submits 2K and tells you it did so instead of spending a failed call.
• Edit with as many as 14 references. Use operation: "edit" with one or more session images to preserve a product, person, composition, or visual language while changing only the requested elements.
• Keep every result usable. The returned image is saved with its real PNG, JPEG, or WebP extension, indexed into the session, and identified as provider: "seedream" with the exact OpenRouter model ID.

You have a product photograph and need a seasonal campaign variant without redesigning the product. Ask Seedream to preserve the pack shape, logo placement, and lighting while changing only the set dressing.

You are combining a subject, a location reference, and a brand mood board. Seedream can take all three as visual references in one edit instead of making the agent describe them from memory.

You need a lifelike hospitality, retail, automotive, or property scene that feels ready for commercial layout work. Pin Seedream for the render, then hand the result to Presentation Create, Canva, or Video Lab in the same session.
